Change in Service FAQ

Invicro has made the difficult decision to reduce the scale of activities associated with the Backpack Health platform. We recognize how important Backpack is to individuals with rare and complex conditions, and our aim is to minimize the impact of these changes to the best of our ability.

  • Active Backpack Health customer and technical support are no longer available.
  • The development of new features will be paused indefinitely after May of 2021.
  • Groups functionality will be discontinued on June 15, 2022.

  • Will these changes affect my information and my account?

No, you can still log in with your account credentials and everything saved in your Backpack will still be there. This includes any health entries added by taking group surveys.

  • Can I continue adding new health information to my Backpack?

Yes. You can also track symptoms, upload files, write notes and comments, add contacts, and use Share Cards just like before.

  • Is it still possible to sign up for Backpack Health?

Yes, you can still sign up (and it’s still free).

  • Can I export the information saved in my Backpack?

You can download your data as a ZIP file by selecting the Backpack you want to export, selecting Profile from the Main Menu, and then selecting Export Backpack. And you can save any of your Share Cards as a PDF.

  • I’m a member of a group. What happens to the information I’ve shared with them?

Unless you leave your group or delete your account, your group’s administrators will be able to access the pseudonymized data through the Backpack platform until all groups are discontinued on June 15, 2022.

Your group may continue their research efforts and build community resources outside of Backpack Health – please contact them if you’re interested in more information

  • Will I still have access to the condition-specific Share Card content provided by my group? And other group resources?

All group resources and Share Card content, including condition-specific emergency information and other health information provided by group administrators, will be removed from the app when this functionality is discontinued on June 15, 2022. We suggest downloading a PDF of any Share Cards with content from them included, and/or reaching out to your group to ask if they have resources accessible outside of Backpack Health.

  • My Backpack is connected to my provider’s patient portal. Will I still receive new health records?

Yes, your Data Connections will remain active, and new records will continue to be imported automatically. You can still connect to new portals, too.

  • How can I reach Backpack Health/Invicro?

You can contact us by emailing [email protected]. We’ll reply within 30 days, in English only.

Backpack Health’s Help Center articles are always available. And although we’re no longer on most social media, our YouTube page is still active, and you can find tutorials there.

  • How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account by going to your Account Settings – more detailed instructions can be found here.
